ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, we should stay calm and answer all the questions with honest. Just be yourself. Do not afraid to make some mistake when you want to answer their questions. If you afraid, you will make a mistake.
Don't forget to greet properly and say "thank you"

ReplyDeleteWell, firstly, I agree with both Kevin and Vicky's post, if we can stay calm and focus on what the manager asking, that will be really helpful for us.
As our 3rd semester will be internship, we must be busy with preparing interview to be accepted to work there. However, we should understand what should we prepare first.
First, every business and hotel industry, time is really important. After we got the interview schedule, we should be arrived before the interview start, its usually 30 minutes before the interview start.
Second, in my opinion, interviewers should have great attitude by the way they smile, prepare all the information that basically ask on the interview and the person should be neatly wear and good hair style.
Lastly, every interviewer should believe on themselves and keep do hard for the result. They also should have enough confidence for give the answers and tell them about their personal.
So, let's try hard and don't give up my friends!

ReplyDeleteI do very agree with both comments above by Kevin and Vicky that we should stay calm during the interview; yet, it's quite hard indeed for us to stay calm in this kind of situation. All we have to do is that we have to assure ourselves that we've been well-prepared the night before, so that the interview will hopefully run very smoothly.
REMEMBER that you can't sit before you're asked to be seated. Interviewer may ask some several tricky questions that you have to answer in a proper manner. That's why, as Mr. Lee told us last week that we might want to ask the interviewer to come up with the questions later as we would have enough time to think first before answering those tricky and/or difficult questions.
In term of grooming, we must look very dapper and well-groomed in front of the interviewer. Hair should be very well neat, Wear complete uniform, and shoes must be likely to be polished as well.
Lastly, Don't forget to smile, and greet the interviewer properly (as kevin and vicky have mentioned). Last but not least, don't forget to pray before the interview and keep in mind that we can definitely nail this.

Yes, this is definitely a good post as we are all going to face the interview soon.

I just would like to add that we should do a little research on the hotel and the job description of the position that we are interested in. So when there are questions on that, we will be able to answer. Also it will be beneficial for us to know basic information on the hotel, so that we are more confident in the interview.
Everyone remember to be punctual. You never can predict the traffic in Jakarta, so better be early.

don't forget to smiling, because sometimes smile it's important and maintain eye contact when the interview.
do some research about the hotel and job decription of the position that we interested in before the interview
last but not least, don't forget to pray before the interview (as risyad mentioned)and ask for prayer from our parents.

basically, when we are having an interview, we don't have to be nervous... Of course the reality isn't easy, sometimes we can manage to stay calm, but in the last minute before the interview start, we start panicking... Of course, it is a normal thing.. But we have to solve this kind of situation, because the interview will not go smoothly when we're panic... so, just remember to take a deep breath to calm yourself...
in the interview, the first thing that the interviewer will notice is your appearance... So, do make sure that you guys are wearing a proper outfit..
in a matter of manner, give a warm and confident smile when you enter the room, greet the interviewer, and (couldn't agree more with risyad), do not seat until the interviewer ask you to. after that, sit properly : for ladies, don't cross your legs... and then follow the flow of the interview, and stay calm and focus...
when the interview start, try to answer everything confidently.. You have to be sure of all your answers... Do Not EVER lie about yourself, just be yourself......
and the last one, when it comes to pressure, just remember to take a deep breath and think of something that might calm you down...

Since I have experienced with the interview for my internship, I fully agree with the calmness. You need to be calm so you can answer the question smoothly without stuttering. The interviewer will see your confidence within yourself throughout the interview, if you answer the questions unsure then the interview might think that you weren't confidence enough with yourself to take the job/training.
Another thing is the grooming, as Vicky's said that the first impression is important. The first time you came in to the interview place, the interviewer would start take a mark of your performance. From your greeting, the way you walk. the way you talk, etc. It is very important to be concerned about your appearance and performance.
Don't be afraid to do the interview. Do your best!! XD

As we all know on the next semester we will having an internship and all of us will go to different place and department but still all of us have to pass the interview section. Interview is a very crucial part because it will determine whether we are qualified for the job or not. For me the most important thing is to be our self and stay calm. We have to make sure that we arrive there in time and it would be best if we could get there 15 minutes earlier, so that we would be able to check again our grooming and find the correct room and person who will interview us. ReplyDeleteIn my opinion the manner for the interview should be calm and the most important thing is be yourself. Answer the question that you know. For the grooming, it should be neat hair, and wear the uniform properly. The key word, you should speak nice and remember, do not ask about allowance. And making a conversation with the interviewer so you won’t be stress.

ReplyDeleteto face the interview, we need to remain calm, and also we must confidence! that the main thing that we must have. prepare our best grooming, just do our best. don't do something silly with the answer, stay focus, and smile. don't come late, because i was late at the interview for about 15 minutes and it's not good for the first impression.
